In the early morning hours, a cargo ship reported the sighting of a vessel carrying 33 migrants south of Crete. The passengers were promptly attended to.
Following the sighting, the migrants were transported to Kalou Limenes and later relocated to a facility in Heraklion. Among them, 28 individuals stated they were Egyptian nationals, while four minors were also present.
Furthermore, a family consisting of a pregnant woman and two children identified themselves as Syrian nationals.
